Rocketry is often considered the future of humanity, the modern frontier, and the passion of those whose mind wanders among the stars. We at Embler Control Systems happen to be some of those very people who, from a young age, dreamt of launching rockets across the sky and into the vast universe above. This passion manifests in many through the hobby of model rocketry: a fantastic first experience in the field and wonderful for learning the fundamentals of rockets.

However, given time, we began to question where this hobby led: As we progressed our rockets got bigger, faster, and more expensive and yet, they were still nothing but poor, unintelligent imitations of the complex miracles of math and science that we watched with wide eyes on the television as children. We asked ourselves, what is it that separates the fields of model rocketry and true rocket science?
The answer that many come to can be found in the field of controls, specifically that of a thrust-vector-controlled model rocket. Despite finding this answer, almost all find that the chasm of complexity in taking on this project rapidly becomes overwhelming. Software, electronics, PCB design, CAD, and many other skills are required alongside plenty of trial and error before a successful launch even nears possibility. For this reason, many young, passionate people find themselves stuck, and give up, or run out of budget before finding any meaningful success.


Our two founders experienced this themselves, suffering defeat in their middle and high school years at the hands of a steep and costly learning curve. These harsh and discouraging learning conditions are what we as a company seek to change. Through our Samsara sensor kits and products, we wish to give young minds a platform on which to build and explore their passions without being completely overwhelmed by the enormity of the task. We sincerely believe that by bridging the gap between simplicity and science we can help those who are interested in the field grow their skills and experience in a way that has never been possible before, and we believe that those people who benefit from our project will be those who go on to impact the field forever.
